Russ Feingold Lied To Us - Again

Our esteemed Senator Russ Feingold has lied to us again.

At his "listening session" August 6, 2002 in Boulder Junction the Senator was asked point blank if he supported the U.S. military being sent into Iraq. After hemming and hawing for a few minutes about the need for further debate and another authorizing resolution, the Senator reluctantly claimed he supported the President AND the decision to use American military forces, and would vote that support when the motion came before the Senate.

On October 9, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Senator Feingold was openly critical of the President's plan to use our military in Iraq, questioning the need for such action. When the final vote came in the Senate in the early morning hours of October 11, Senator Feingold voted NO.

The People of Northern Wisconsin have been lied to once again by a Washington politician, which is exactly what Russ Feingold has become. Too bad he still has 2 more years to serve of his term in the Senate. I, for one, will not forget.
